Ordering Your Kit
How can I send my gown to you to clean it thoroughly and preserve it?
The process is simple. You need to place an order for the kit on our website dresspreservation.com. We will then ship our preservation box to your doorstep. Don't worry, the box is equipped with thick walls and carries crush-proof benefits. So, there will be a secure and insured two-way journey to our facility.
Can I get a refund if I choose not to use the kit?
Of course! If you decide not to use the kit, simply contact us. We'll provide a 100% refund on your order—no need to return the box or its content. We deactivate the order number and it becomes unavailable for future use.
Can I order my kit with one address and get my gown shipped somewhere else?
Certainly! Our online ordering system allows you to choose a different shipping address. Further, if you write a message in the "Comments" field, we consider that as well.
Can I buy my kit with a PO Box?
Unfortunately, no!

2. Traditional Wedding Dress Preservation Kit - Suitable for wedding dresses less than 20 years old.

4. Wedding Dress Clean-Only Kit - If your wedding dress is to be worn again soon, and it is less than 20 years old.Â

Can I include extra shipping insurance with my kit?
When checking out on our website, you are provided with an option to enhance the insurance coverage for your dress.Â
- Traditional, Restoration, and Clean-Only Kits - $1,000 worth of insurance.Â
- Celebrity Kit - $2,000.Â
You can add extra insurance by paying $50.00 to get each additional $1,000 worth of coverage.
Packing Your Dress and Accessories
What other accessories can I add for cleaning and preservation other than my wedding gown under your ongoing promotion?
You can add five accessories like a veil, hoop skirt, train, corset strap, handkerchief, jacket, tiara, shawl/cape, ring pillow, duster, money bag, gloves, purse, sash, and more.
If you want to include more than five of the mentioned items, each will cost a $10 extra charge. However, for slips, shoes, and silk bouquets, you need to pay $35 each.
Can you clean and preserve my Hoop Skirt?
Yes. You can include your hoop skirt as well without paying any extra money.
Is it possible to add Tiara with the items preserved and displayed in the preservation chest?
Your tiara is eligible in the category of five additional items. Use our checkout code "FREE SHIPPING".Â
We carefully wrap and place your tiara at the bottom of the preservation chest to prevent your wedding dress from any damage.

How can I ensure that my wedding dress will be secured during shipping?
We follow the measures for the safety and protection of your wedding gown. You can even track the status of your wedding dress in real time with our advanced UPS shipping technology.Â
For additional assurance, all kits come with a minimum of $1,000 worth of insurance cover.
Has any wedding gown ever gone missing during shipping?
Well, there was never any incident of a dress being lost or stolen during the shipping process.
Will I get notified when my dress reaches the preservation facility?
Yes. You are informed through an email address used to place your kit order after the cleaning and preservation process begins.
How soon initial 2-way shipping containers be delivered after ordering on your website?
It arrives at your doorstep within 5-7 days after you place your order on our website.

What happens when my wedding dress reaches your preservation facility?
We do a thorough examination to find any damages or yellowing. Then, we check the fabric of your wedding gown. After analyzing, we note down these details with other specifications of your wedding dress.
How do you check the location of my wedding dress?
We use an advanced tracking system using barcodes to trace any movement of your wedding dress. It is done throughout the cleaning, preservation, and restoration process in the facility.
Wedding Gown Cleaning Procedure
Is there any difference between the traditional and celebrity kits' cleaning procedures?
No, both kits are provided with the same level of attention. Your wedding dress is hand-pressed in the case of our Celebrity kit, while it is steam-pressed when you use a traditional kit.
Is there anything in the preservation process that is done outside the facility?
No, the entire process is done in-house. We ensure that your gown remains secure in our care.
How do you take care of my gown once it reaches your preservation facility?
Your dress is provided with a tracking barcode. It helps us monitor its entire journey throughout the preservation station. The data is connected online due to our GownTrackerTM system.
Can I choose a cleaning-only option for my dress without preserving it?
Yes. If you want to wear your dress again soon or want to sell it to another bride, choose our clean-only kit.
What process do you follow for cleaning my wedding dress?
When your wedding dress reaches our facility, it moves at various preservation stations.Â
Each of the stations is dedicated to a specific aspect of the cleaning process. These stations do -Â

After cleaning, your gown is wrapped in our acid-free preservation paper. Finally, your gown is sealed within our preservation chest. We secure it in a crush-proof shipping box and ship it back to your doorstep.
Will your cleaning treatment damage the fabric of my gown?
We use SystemK4 wedding gown cleaning technology. It is organic, just like the fabrics used in your gown. The technology cleans and protects your gown more efficiently compared to any other dry cleaning method.
What kinds of stains can you remove from my dress?
We can remove about 95% of the stains found on the gowns. The stains we address are -Â

Can I bleach my wedding gown to achieve a white color?
No, you should not do it. Bleaching can cause various damages to your gown. The process can be too harsh for the delicate fabrics used in the wedding gowns.

Our team has on-site tailors and seamstress experts. They carry out minor repairs on your gown for a nominal fee.Â
If there are any pre-damages on your dress, we will reach out to you. We provide you with an option to repair the damages with the associated cost.
What accessories can I include for preservation along with my dress?
You can add 5 complimentary items from these -Â
Gloves, veil, jacket, shawl, hat, duster, cape, handkerchief, ring pillow, purse, money bag, and garter.Â
For the Christening kit, you can add items such as -Â
Bibs, socks, robes, slips, rattles, bonnets, veils, and more.
Can colored gowns be preserved?
Yes. We take special care to preserve the fabrics and look of your gown.
What is the duration of the entire preservation process?
It takes about 5-7 weeks. However, various factors are considered, such as the size of your wedding dress and the workload.
Preservation Kit Chest & Packaging
What materials are used for the construction of the preservation chest?
The preservation casket is made with the use of high-quality, durable cardboard. It is used in the commercial packaging. The pH-neutral, acid-free, and protective coating features block UV light.
Can I get traditional service for my dress with a silver embossed chest?
Yes. After receiving your initial shipping box and paperwork, you can upgrade your container from white to silver for an extra fee.
What are the dimensions of the preservation chest? Will it fit perfectly with my wedding gown?
We provide standard, large, and extra-large box sizes -Â

What measures are taken into account for the safety of my preserved wedding dress during its return shipment?
We provide commercial-grade, crush-proof, and water-resistant shipping containers. These protect your wedding dress against any damage and outer elements.
100-Year Warranty
What is Covered Under a 100-Year Warranty?
The 100-year warranty protects your gown from yellowing for a century. If you notice any stains or yellowing within that timeframe, we will re-preserve your gown without any extra charges.
If I unseal the box to examine my gown, will it invalidate the warranty?
No. Your warranty will remain valid even if you open the box. However, avoid removing your gown fully from the Preservation chest. Any exposure to the contaminants, such as oils, can cause yellowing.
Storing and Maintaining Your Dress After Preservation
What is the ideal location to store my wedding dress after it is preserved?
Look for the location where you feel comfortable. Avoid any non-conditioned areas like basement, garage, or attic.
What if my wedding dress shows signs of yellowing before the conclusion of the 100-year warranty?
It's rare. However, you can contact our customer service team in such a situation. We will send you a new kit without charging an additional fee.
